"less and less distinctly"

looking down off stanley
the clouds start to steal the vision away
fade and dissolve

red blue green to grey black white
push the rock down nothing happens
no sound no damage no energy

i turn to face the orange sun on blue sky
but my body starts as the thunder growls

"the build"

corner stability
strength through vertical growth
the lowest stone of the pyramid
never touching heaven
never tasting the raindrops

as the days turn the burial begins
first one of the two selves die
the other burying one of the dead

the dirt covers all
erases memory and tricks reality
new lowest stones and the covered disappear
